Without further adieu, here are our picks for the Top 11 Cigars to Look Out For in 2022:
Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligans
The Filthy Hooligans are coming back with their shenanigans in spring of next year. The eye-grabbing cigars from Alec Bradley that come out before every St. Patrick’s Day have been scheduled for a limited release and will return once again in the early spring.
These cigars are made in a barber pole style and combine wrappers in a pattern that shows the differences between each. There will be two lines:
1) Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole
This cigar features dual wrappers of Nicaraguan Habano and candela and is a toro, measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge, and has an interior blend featuring a Sumatra binder around Panamian and Honduran filler.
2) Filthy Hooligan Shamrock
The Shamrock is triple-wrapped with Nicaraguan Habano, Maduro Nicaraguan Habano, and candela tobaccos and has the same interior blend and filler as the Barber Pole.

Due to a lack of available candela, these two will be limited releases consisting of 2,000 24-count boxes of Barber Poles and 1,500 10-count boxes of Shamrocks.
Casa Turrent’s Three New Lines
Casa Turrent, a Mexican cigar company, known for its 1880 brand, is expanding with three new lines to be shipped staggered to retailers in early January.
These new lines consist of:
3) Doble Claro
Doble Claro uses a light Connecticut-seed wrapper from Mexico, dark San Andrés Negro binder, and a mix of Habano Criollo Sancti Spiritus.
4) Rosado
The rosado is rolled with a Habano wrapper, Habano 2000 binders, and Habano Criollo San Andrés leaves.
5) Doble Maduro
Doble Maduro is a dream blend of San Andrés Negro tobacco grown in the lush Valley of Fire and produced by experts who know their stuff.
The new blends will be available in the same five sizes as their last four 1880 lines:
- Short Robusto, measuring 4 3/4 by 52 ring gauge which debuts in January
- Perfecto 5 1/2″ x 54″, coming in February
- Robusto, 5 1/4 by 55, which goes on sale in March
- Lancero, 7 1/2 by 40 coming in April
- Doble Robusto, 6 1/2 by 55 ($20), which is being released In May
Like the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligans we mentioned earlier, these new releases from Casa Turrent’s will be limited, with 10,000 boxes of each blend shipped in 2022.
6) Davidoff Limited Edition 2022 Year of the Tiger
In October, Davidoff announced a new cigar called the Year of Tiger.
It will be their 11th release in this series, and it’s also the shortest so far; These 5 x 52 piramides also are the first cigar in the series that features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. This wrapper was, according to Davidoff, “treated naturally to bring to life the fur markings of the Tiger on the finished cigar visually.”

The blend includes a Dominican hybrid 257 seco binder and a combination of five Dominican filler tobaccos:
- Hybrid 254 Viso
- Hybrid 259 Seco
- Piloto Ligero
- San Vicente Mejorado Seco
- San Vicente Mejorado Viso.
The Year of the Tiger is a limited edition cigar that comes with an MSRP of $42 per stick, and only 17,350 boxes (of 10) are available. The box features gold foil images on both sides depicting tigers stalking prey through trees, while other inserts include woodcut stickers that imitate them in their habitat.
United Cigars Garofalo La Famiglia Cigar Line
The New England retailer David Garofalo has collaborated with the president and CEO of Perdomo to create a luxurious smoking experience.
The new La Famiglia cigar line is set for release in January 2022, shipping out from United Cigars’ warehouse before heading off across America on their own journey towards becoming one-a-kind treasures that will be loved by all who enjoy them!

The line will come in three variants:
7) Garofalo La Famiglia Connecticut
Garofalo La Famiglia Connecticut is a medium-bodied, mild to medium cigar that combines a 5-year aged Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper for smooth creaminess with a 5-year old Cuban-seed Nicaraguan filler.
8) Garofalo La Famiglia Sun Grown
The Garofalo La Famiglia Sun Grown is a medium-bodied smoke with a 5-year aged Nicaraguan sun-grown wrapper that adds a smooth spiciness to the robust 5-year aged Nicaraguan fillers.
9) Garofalo La Famiglia Maduro
The Garofalo La Famiglia Maduro is a medium-full to full-bodied smoke with 5-year aged Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Maduro wrappers that add a sweet richness to the robust 5-year aged Cuban-seed Nicaraguan filler.
Garofalo La Famiglia cigars come in 24-count boxes. They include the following five sizes: Robusto (5 x 54), Epicure (6 x 54), Torpedo (6 1/2 x 54), Gordo (6 x 60), and Churchill (7 x 54), with suggested retail prices of around USD 10.00.
10) Rocky Patel White Label

JR Cigar is teaming up with Steve Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust for their 50th Anniversary collection to honor the company’s history and the people who made it happen.
The final installment in this year-long project will be an ode to legacy by using only top-shelf aged tobacco leaves from all over Latin America and domestic production facilities like those found within New York City—the home base where they achieved many milestones during these fifty glorious years!
The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Limited Edition “EM” Maduro is a hand-rolled cigar that has been created in Nicaragua at the storied NACSA facility.
With aged filler from three different countries, this one will be sure to please any smoker’s taste buds!
The inside is packed with aged fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. This masterpiece is sealed with a San Andrés Negro binder and finished off with a Connecticut Broadleaf No.1 dark wrapper, which has been rolled by hand.
